Môle et Brasses: Haute-Savoie secrets and exceptional experiences

A few months ago, we welcomed blogger Itinera Magica and photographer Foehn Photographie to Môle & Brasses Tourisme.

Over the course of three days, they discovered our destination and its many hidden treasures: discovering the edible plants of the Plaine Joux Plateau, immersing themselves in nature with a bivouac experience in a hammock, learning to climb "en tête" at Rocher Blanc, tasting Tom'Ly, the reblochon en croute made in Viuz-en-Sallaz, taking a guided tour of the historic millstone site of Mont Vouan, with Paysalp... and many other treasures of our destination.

If I told you the Môle et Brasses region, would you know where to find it on a map? In a very touristy region, full of justly famous sites, this still undiscovered destination has the charm of the unexplored, of an authentic mid-mountain vibrant with powerful traditions.
If you're familiar with Haute-Savoie, you're no doubt familiar with Chamonix, Lake Annecy or Morzine. Today, I'd like to invite you to explore the Môle et Brasses region, a little-known but endearing Haute-Savoie destination, brimming with original activities and a beautiful preserved heritage.
We're in the Lake Geneva Alps, 30 minutes from Geneva and 45 from Annecy. We're in mid-mountain country, around 1000 to 1500 meters above sea level, in a land of alpine pastures where the wonderful Reblochon cheese is made - hence the bucolic beauty of these green Alps where flowers number in the thousands, the gentleness of these less mineral and more friendly Alpine landscapes.
Le Môle is an emblematic pyramidal peak overlooking the Mont Blanc massif; Les Brasses is a family-friendly, accessible ski resort, as well as a flower-studded plateau where you can trace exquisite hiking itineraries between the petals. In between lies a lake, a green valley, 12 villages and hamlets with a profoundly Savoyard charm, with the authenticity of more confidential regions. But there's so much to discover and so many things to do in the Môle et Brasses region, and people deeply in love with their country gave us powerful experiences.
Marion and I love the Alps to bits, and we spend a lot of time exploring them. But here, in this small country, we were surprised to experience some unusual moments that made us savor the mountains in a whole new way. This destination was one of our summer favourites, one of our fondest memories. Let me show you what you can see, do and experience in Môle et Brasses, in the gentle beauty of an unspoilt region and with a mountain of unusual activities.
